The ads you see for Nike, Adidas, Target, Budweiser, Guitar Hero, Mini Cooper, Burger King – all by Creative Circus alumni. In two short years, that could be YOU.

On Saturday, March 3rd, beginning at 10:00 a.m., we’ll be showcasing some of the most innovative work in marketing communications. In addition to learning all about our programs, financial aid, housing, and career services, you can stick around afterward for lunch and an opportunity to meet and hear from some of the brightest and best creatives out there. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday.

Young Glory is the only worldwide competition to reward creative consistency. It is also your chance to get work in front of a big industry name every month.

8 months. 8 briefs. Each month, between October and May, a different industry leader sets and judges his/her own brief. Participants have one month to respond to each brief.

Round 4 is now live as well for anyone who wants to participate. Gav Gordon-Rogers, the Interactive CD from W+K is judging. The brief is for Wikipedia, and you can find it here.

Every year, iris will issue a brief to the students on projects that can help make Atlanta more progressive, such as bike lanes, revamped food cart licensing, urban agriculture and better public transportation. In short, the kind of things that make a city a better place to live and work.

For the first A+ brief, iris is extremely excited to be working with The Atlanta Beltline Partnership, the awareness and fundraising arm of the most ambitious public project Atlanta has ever seen. Currently under construction, The Atlanta Beltline will provide a network of public parks, multi-use trails and transit along a historic 22-mile railroad corridor circling downtown and connecting 45 neighborhoods directly to each other. The Atlanta BeltLine is among the largest urban redevelopment projects currently underway in the United
States.

Jon Wright, managing director of iris Atlanta, says: “Atlanta has incredible potential, and iris wants to help build the creative community. We’ve got world-class marketers here, one of the best ad schools in the country, and a city that’s got so much to offer. We feel like A+ is a great way to start getting all these elements working together.”

A+ will launch this Friday, January 13th at 1:30 in the theater at the Creative Circus. Our students will have two months to concept and execute. Once their ideas are submitted, the work will be judged by a panel of local ad industry creatives. The project will culminate in a party at iris’ office on Peachtree Road, with prizes being awarded for the best work on Friday, March 17th, 2012.
