Founded in 1995 in Atlanta, Georgia, The Creative Circus is an accredited, two-year, portfolio-building, educational program for the creative side of the Advertising, Interactive Development, Design and Photography industries. Located in an energetic, converted warehouse that feels more like an agency, design firm or studio than a traditional school, future creatives build portfolios that help them land the best jobs in the field.
Although the school began as a traditional ad school, non-traditional media has quickly become more and more traditional. So the need to train creatives to think about the future of marketing communications is vital. In addition to ads, design pieces and images, Circus students develop concepts for full-scale branding, brand extensions, product development, interactive design and innovative technology applications.
Classes at The Creative Circus are taught by working professionals – the very people creating the ads, design, development and images you see every day. And the Circus is stocked with all the tools necessary to truly simulate a real-world, professional atmosphere.
At the end of the two-year program, Creative Circus grads are armed with experience, and they proudly carry killer portfolios (or, more often links to their killer web sites and pdfs) that show creative directors and recruiters what they know and how they think. The Creative Circus is the first step to a career as a working creative.
The Creative Circus is unlike any school you’ve experienced before. More a subset of the communications arts industry than academia, The Creative Circus has prepared some of the world’s best working creative talent.
